Gun shot (Dushi)

We had a really hard time trying to find a gun shot sound, we looked through all the website and also used youtube to find a gunshot sound, but this was really difficult. We did find a gun shot noise but we are not satisfied with it. We are still looking for more and better gunshot noises to suit our clip.

Back Up Copy (Dan)

We have decided to still produce the a film consisting of the old videos, the one we found a error in. Simply because we wanted to have a back up as we are getting near the deadline date. the back up is made because if the new copy we done also had an error we'd have a back up. Plus we always have thought that the film with the error in it looked the best because of the fog and the light conditions.

The back up in our oppinion was a good option as if the new one had errors in it and we did not have time to re-film again, we'd have a good back of out film.

Camera (Dan)

The camera we used to film was not given by the school/College as we choose to use our own camera. We used a Canon DSLR, we chose to use this because we wanted the best picture quality possible in HD. We believe that a better picture quality will engage the audience and create tension in the film. Plus another feature that attracted us to using my camera was that we can use manual foucus, we can use the focus ring on the end of the lens to change focus between the foreground and background which we exploited when filming our thriller. The use of changes between charaters and objects in focusmreally emphasised what we want the audience to engage with.

We used equipments like tripod to get a steady piciture and also to achieve shots which is difficult to achieve just with the camera. I would mount the camera on the end of the tripod and would hold it under my arm so when moving with the camera it would achieve a smoother movement.

Music Difficulty ( Dushi)

The original music which we were going to use Halo Finish the Fight was not suited for the video. This was because the music gets too fast towards the end and happy which does not suit the tension of the clip. But know we found a new soundtrack called Total war. This suited the clip and kept the tension till the end of the film.

Weather (Dushi)

The weather we filmed our recent film which was on the 2oth of January was not the ideal. But we had no choice as it was the only time we could film. The weather was cloudy with spots of sunshine, it was not ideal for our film, but we used shoots in the film to make it intresting and also intense.

Story change (Dushi)

We changed the ending from the storyboard. In the ending of the first film we shoot, we had an ending in which the killer put the victim in the car and pulls of in the car. But in the recent video we shoot we changed it again, this was because the video was too short. Therefore to make the video longer we added different's shots. We used a shot of the victim lying down on the road and and the shot an incoming call on the victims phone, and see the killer walking away and get into the car.

Change of Plans (Dushi)

Due to the error on the last video we filmed again on the 20th thursday of January. We used a different car, this was because we could not use the same car as last time we filmed. The car we used was the Ford Fiesta, this was not are main choice of car but we thought it will still suit the the film and would work well.

Costume Changes (Dushi)

We have decided to not use the beanie hat, this was because it did not suit the male character and it looks more menacing with the hoodie up rather than using the beanie hat. The picture below is the jumper which we would be using for the stalker character.

Filming Error (Dan)

After the filming during the christmas holiday, we returned to school to edit and create the film on Adobe premiere Pro cs4. Where we discovered a continuity error. In one scene we see our female character with a handbag on her left arm, a few scenes later she has it on her right arm. Unfortunatly we can not just re-film that one scene becuase the weather conditions when we filmed in were foggy, icy and wet and if we were to re-film the conditions would change, so we have decided to re-film the whole film next wednesday (Wednesday 12th January) It is an annoying thing however we can now add in shots that we did not do first time round. One thing we will do is do double check every shot for errors and things wrong so we dont have this happen again. The pictures shows the two shots, the first showing her holding the bag in her left arm, and the second shot, only moments later, she is holding it in her right arm.
